On Wed 12th of August at 7:12, there will be a 91% solar eclipse. The Rotherwick Patch is located on a gentle hill with lovely views and a clear line of sight to the West-North-West which is the direction the eclipse will be visible. Ticket includes a pair of protective eclipse viewing glasses.

About the event
We're running a special, perhaps once-in-a-lifetime, event at the Patch this year - a viewing event for the 91% solar eclipse. The Patch is perfectly positioned for viewing, being on a gentle hill with a clear view to the west-north-west.
The full transit of the eclipse will take around two hours - beginning at 6:17 and ending at 8:06 - the maximum will occur at 7:13pm. We will be opening from 5.30pm until 8:30pm for people to come and view the eclipse - all tickets include a pair of protective eclipse viewing glasses, although visitors are welcome to bring their own if they wish. Please note: For this event, we are unable to offer refunds in the case of cloudy or inclement weather. Please note: Photography is welcome as long as protective glasses are used. Drones are not permitted.
