  • Is the Patch wheelchair accessible?
    Yes, as long as we haven't had torrential rain, the Patch will be accessible to robust wheelchairs and off-road buggies.
  • Are you dog-friendly?
    Yes, we pride ourselves in being dog friendly - in fact we often have rabbits and cats visit us too! We ask that animals are kept on leads at all times though and any mess is cleared and disposed of responsibly.
  • What happens if I need to change or cancel my booking?
    To amend or cancel your booking, please log in to your account and makes the relevant amendments yourself. Note that cancelled bookings are non-refundable, but changes are free.
  • Do we need to book?
    Yes, to ensure everybody gets the best experience possible at the Patch, we will require visitors to pre-book their parking. There is a fee of £5 per car, all people and pets are free to attend. We cannot guarantee parking for any vehicles which have not been pre-booked. To avoid those disappointed little faces on the day, we strongly recommend you make a booking prior to visiting.
  • Is it muddy?
    Despite our best efforts, the Patch does get muddy and is open to the elements, therefore we recommend you come dressed appropriately. We suggest wellies (or similar) footwear and rain coats – we think it's all part of the fun!
  • Is seating available?
    Outdoor seating will be available along with many straw bales around the site, however note that there is no seating under cover.
  • Do you accept card payment?
    Yes, we accept card payments, but not Amex. We are in a field in the countryside so please bear with us if payment takes a little while to go through. We also accept cash.
  • Can we walk to you?
    There are several countryside footpaths that lead to the Patch. Please visit Footpathmap for more information. Although we welcome visitors on foot, The Rotherwick Patch does not encourage parking in any off-site location as this can cause problems for people in the village and through-traffic.
  • What do I need to bring?
    You just need to bring your camera to capture some beautiful memories and money to purchase your favourite pumpkins!
  • How much do the pumpkins cost?
    Our pumpkins are priced on size; Munchkin £1 Small £2.50 Medium £5.00 Large £7.50 Jumbo £10
  • What happens if I turn up without a booking?
    We DO NOT recommend doing this, particularly at weekends. We allow booking for the quantity of cars we are able to safely manage. If you turn up at a time when we are not fully booked and we are able to accommodate your car then you'll be able to pay the £5 parking fee and our staff will direct you to an available space. There is no local parking off the Patch.
  • What food and drinks are available?
    We will have a selection of refreshments on site - from chilled soft drinks; tea, coffee and luxury hot chocolate; yummy cakes (including gluten free and vegan) and delicious cookies.   • I need to change my number plate!
    Don't worry - as long as you've got your booking confirmation with you on a phone or printed out we'll let you in. Taking the number plates means that we can process people much faster, but there's no problem if some people need to change the car they're bringing!
  • Can we hire the Patch for a photoshoot or special event?
    Yes, absolutely. The Patch makes a great location for photoshoots and celebrations, whatever they may be. Please e-mail us on info@rotherwickpatch.com or call on 07734 742 288.
  • Why have you started charging for parking?
    Like our pumpkins, we've grown and grown. Our main concern is safety, and last year we heard reports of some risky situations caused by people parking in locations that weren't ideal. As such we've invested significantly in increasing the amount of hard-standing parking on the Patch itself. Sadly this means we need to charge a nominal fee for parking, but we still don't charge for entry.
  • Autism Friendly Hour
    We’ve introduced ‘Autism Friendly Hour’ on weekend days between 9-10am before general opening. This allows us to create a calmer and quieter environment to help our diverse community to enjoy an unforgettable and inclusive experience.To book a visit during this time please email us directly at info@rotherwickpatch.com, as these slots are not bookable via the normal system. The Patch is also generally quieter during mid-week afternoons.
  • I have feedback and/or a complaint

  • Can I drop people off and then come back and collect them?
    Yes. There is a designated drop-off and pick-up area. There is no fee for this, however waiting times are limited to 5 minutes when the Patch is busy.
  • Can I change my booking?

  • Are there toilets?
    Yes, there are toilets on site however these cannot accommodate wheelchairs. Unfortunately, there are no baby changing facilities on site at present.
